Jeffrey Lewis Recruits Johnny Flynn for A Turn in the Dream-Song

Between Ryan Adams’ new LP, Rachael Yamagata’s third album, and now Jeffrey Lewis’ A Turn in the Dream-Song, October 11 is shaping up to be a big day for promising new releases. The latter full-length finds Lewis alongside members of Dr. Dog, the Vaselines, Au Revoir Simone, and the Wave Picture, as well as our personal favorite, English folk singer Johnny Flynn. What’s more, Lewis ditched digital for analog recording on his new solo record, putting the set to two-inch tape at a studio Manchester, UK known for its stock of vintage gear.

First Aid Kit Tour Dates w/ Lykke Li, Bright Eyes

With their incredibly promising debut LP garnering much-deserved praise and a Jack White-produced single that helped a new legion of fans, First Aid Kit’s Klara and Johanna Söderberg are ready to unveil their sophomore effort, produced by Bright Eyes’ Mike Mogis and recorded at his Omaha, Nebraska studio earlier this year. Before the record drops, however, the Swedish folk duo have some high-profile supporting gigs on the way for the fall.

In September, First Aid Kit will open up a string of U.S. tour dates for Mogis’ Conor Oberst-led group, the aforementioned Bright Eyes. Then, in November, they’ll join fellow Swede Lykke Li for 8 more stops. Jens Lekman Unveils 2011 Tour Dates

In support of his forthcoming EP, An Argument with Myself, Jens Lekman will set out on a string of U.S. tour dates this fall, kicking off in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery before hitting major cities and landing in Brooklyn, NY.
