Trailer: Adele, Live at Royal Albert Hall

November 11, 2011

Of all the moments that might mark the peak of Adele’s meteoric career over the past year, her personal favorite triumph was a performance at one of London’s most famous venues in September. Now — after she underwent emergency throat surgery and had to cancel a few tours — you can revisit Adele performing at the top of her game in the new film Live At The Royal Albert Hall. In addition to pro-shot footage of the 90-minute set (including her cover of the Steeldrivers’ “If I Hadn’t Been for Love”), the release comes complete with behind-the-scenes footage and an audio version of the show on CD, arriving on DVD and Blu Ray on November 28th.

For those of us that missed out on shows from this year’s 21 tour, this looks to be an excellent consolation prize. Preview the flick in the trailer below:

Black Sabbath Reunite

November 11, 2011

Metal/hard-rock pioneers Black Sabbath announced today that their long-rumored 2012 reunion is true. Reconvening at Los Angeles’ Whiskey a-Go-Go (where they played their first U.S. show over 4 decades ago), original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward revealed their plans at a press conference: a world tour next year, a headlining set at England’s Download Music Festival, and a forthcoming Rick Rubin-produced album.

The LP, which will be their first studio effort in over three decades, is set for release in fall of 2012. In addition to the surprise presser, the legendary quartet uploaded the big news to YouTube. Check out the clip below:
