For their third year in a row, a handful of famous Irish singer-songwriters have taken to their nation’s capital city for a Christmas Eve busking session on Dublin’s famed Grafton Street. As in 2009 and 2010, U2 frontman Bono, Damien Rice, and the Swell Season/Frames’ Glen Hansard were among the notable names to participate in this year’s annual sing-along event, performing many of their most recognizable original songs along with traditional tunes and cover material.
A number of video clips filmed from the vantage point of the massive crowd formed around each performance have begun to hit the web since last night’s holiday event.
