Just in case you haven’t caught a live set from Amanda Palmer at one of her many appearances during Occupy protests in Oakland, Vancouver, Seattle, and beyond, the solo artist, Dresden Dolls singer, and Evelyn Evelyn member just shared a tribute cover for all to enjoy online: “The World Turned Upside Down” — Leon Rosselson’s famous protest anthem made famous by the great modern-day folk singer Billy Bragg — arrives as the soundtrack to black-and-white still photos from the movement, edited together by Michael Gill.
The result is moving, entertaining, and — most importantly — a rousing call to action. Check it out below.
Meanwhile, Palmer has another song that’s been performed at Occupy sites available online: “Ukulele Anthem.”
