The third film in a trilogy of Jonathan Demme-directed documentaries on the great Neil Young will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, as previously reported. While we previously didn’t know the title — dubbing the project after Young’s Le Noise album, based on the era it was filmed — now the official title has been released, along with a teaser clip. Neil Young Journeys combines footage shot during a two-night stand at Massey Hall on the tour where Neil debuted Le Noise material live “with brief scenes from a road trip through Ontario. Driving a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria, Young visits the rural town of Omemee, where he spent a key part of his formative years, and reminisces about his former neighbors and their daughters.”
Based on a short video that recently hit the Web, which previews part of their ride through Omemee, Ontario and some remarkably high-quality live footage, I’d say this is a can’t-miss for Young fans and newcomers alike. Check out the clip below:
