European Ryan Adams fans won’t be the only ones to catch a live preview of his latest LP, Ashes & Fire, as our favorite L.A.-based singer-songwriter is hitting the road again this fall for a string of dates along the U.S. West Coast. Check out the full itinerary below.
Meanwhile, Adams took to Facebook recently to provide further details on the forthcoming record. Notably, the album was recorded using the same all-analog/live method that showcased the raw intensity of his earlier Ethan Johns-produced LPs. Working this time with Ethan’s father, Adams increased the anticipation level quite a bit with this statement:
It was produced by Glyn Johns ( rocknroll wizard & true gentleman). It has 11 songs on it. I played acoustic on all of them and sang and played live to tape. We recorded the album ALL 100 percent ANALOG ( 2″ tape mixed to 1/4″ ). A computer didn’t touch this album. It has very few overdubs. I gave these songs the most consideration I have ever given and it is certainly the longest amount of time I’ve spent writing. It was made with total love. Very excited. XX
