British folk veteran Roy Harper has been praised by a ton of our favorite artists in recent years, such as Joanna Newsom, who has performed with and interviewed Harper, Fleet Foxes, and — possibly the most venerable of the lot — Jim O’Rourke. The timing is perfect, then, for a look back on his half-century-long career. Enter Songs of Love and Loss, a 2-volume set spanning 1966-92 arriving on September 19 this year (in conjunction with Harper’s 70th birthday).
