Jack White’s project-specific color obsession continued today, as the Third Man leader followed his accompanying black and white with red in the White Stripes, yellow for his label, and the Wanda Jackson band’s fuchsia with his solo hue of choice, blue, in the new official video for Blunderbuss single “Love Interruption.” In a clip that’s as understated as the tune itself, White directs his singing partner, Ruby Amanfu, clarinetist Emily Bowland, and Brooke Waggoner while the quartet gather around a vintage RCA ribbon microphone. We could probably call them a quintet, though, if you include that adorable, naturally color-coordinated Boston Terrier among the group.
